Our spacious country home offers peace and
character aplenty. All our guestrooms, located upstairs,
have tea/coffee facilities, heaters and hair dryers, as
well as the use of a bar fridge. Every room overlooks
the picturesque park-like grounds and surrounding countryside.
Breakfast - Your choice full or light. Both
include fresh or preserved fruit, a tasty selection of
cereals, delicious homemade yoghurt, toast, fruit juice
and tea or coffee. Sample Barbara¹s wonderful home
baked cinnamon date scones, bread rolls or muffins. A
hearty cooked breakfast may include grilled bacon, hash
browns, tomatoes, eggs anyway you like or tasty corn fritters.
Gather round the rimu table or relax al fresco on the
spacious covered patio overlooking the garden.
Downstairs Guest lounge/Billiard Room - This large
downstairs room features a full-sized billiard table,
piano, fridge and TV for your use. Try a game of billiards,
snooker or pool, relax in comfortable chairs, select a
book from the extensive collection or maybe enjoy a game
of cards or scrabble! |
The Green Room - A favourite among
our guests. Decorated with rustic charm, it is sunny,
light and spacious and features a balcony from which you
can overlook the lovely garden or enjoy a spectacular
summer sunset. On a clear day you can even glimpse the
snow-covered peak of Mt Ruapehu! There is an option of
a king or two single beds. The room has TV, desk, and
easy chairs and for your comfort the ensuite bathroom
offers a large shower, heater, heated towel rails as well
as hairdryer and shaving point.
The Provençal Room - This queen bed
room is decorated in French provençal style with
a charming fireplace and blue and cream colour scheme.
A picture window in the wall above the bed frames our
'Scandanavian' woodland corner. It has exclusive use of
a large bathroom with heated towel rails and combined
shower/ bath. Bathrobes are provided to get to the bathroom.
The Garden View Room - This private wing comprises
three rooms a large queen room, large interconnecting
bathroom with shower, two vanities and heated towel rail
and on the other side of the bathroom, a smaller twin
room. Decorated in warm tones of cream and apricot. The
large queen room has a balcony overlooking the potager,
TV and easy chairs. It can be reserved as an ensuite room
on its own as can the smaller twin room on the other side
of the bathroom, or all rooms combined can accommodate
a family or group of three or four people travelling together. |
